Internet poker has become globally celebrated recently, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game events. Its popularity, though, arcs back in reality a bit farther than its television scores. Over the years numerous types on the original poker game have been developed, including a few games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely affiliated with chemin de fer than traditional poker, in that the gamblers bet against the bank instead of the other players. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no bluffing or other kinds of deceptiveness. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up before the dealer declares "No more bets." At that point, both you and the dealer and of course every one of the other gamblers receive 5 cards. After you have looked at your hand and the casino’s initial card, you must either make a call wager or give up. The call bet’s value is akin to your beginning ante, which means that the stakes will have increased two fold. Bowing out means that your bet goes instantly to the bank. After the wager comes the conclusion. If the bank does not have ace/king or better, your wager is returned, including an amount in accordance with the ante. If the dealer does have ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand beats the dealer’s hand. The house pony’s up cash equal to your initial bet and controlled odds on your call bet. These odds are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for 2 pairs
  • three to one for 3 of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
